Carl Riden

Carl Riden (She/Her) lives in Farmville, VA with her dogs. She is a sociologist at Longwood University, where she has taught courses and directed programs in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies for over a decade. Her work also focuses on rural communities and their development.

Carl joined Farmville Pride in 2018. She hopes to apply her knowledge and experience to LGBTQ+ outreach and educational programs in Farmville and the surrounding counties. She wants to build a welcoming and inclusive community for all!
